I started my editing career in 1988 in Windmill Lane Pictures under the stewardship of Meiert Avis, Brian McCue and a host of other great people. Initially using linear 1″C machines, then a variety of low-band U-matic systems.

When I left Windmill in 1992 to pursue a freelance career, I progressed onto early Avid Media Composer, branching into various iterations on Final Cut Pro and then dabbling in Resolve. All of them are great tools with relative strengths & weaknesses.
